Doc's name was Cecil M. Nottingham. He was
killed in 1966. Shot in the back in North Richland Hills, Texas by a friend after a heated
argument. Doc had been up for days on Ambars, a time-released tablet that surpresses the
urge to eat. They looked just like a red M&M. His friend shot Doc in the back as Doc
was running from the house. He fell dead in the man's front yard. Doc was only wearing
pantyhose and his toe nails were painted bright red. He had shaved off all the hair from
his lower body.
The man who shot him got ten years probation for the murder. Never spent a day in jail.
Kirkwood would not allow anyone from The Cellar to attend his funeral, but Tiger told
Kirkwood to go fuck himself and he and Tudy went to the funeral. Norm Frankrich also
attended the service.
Off and on for years Doc would go on a binge, not go home for days, sometimes weeks and just have a great time raising hell and giving away diet pills like they were going out of style. His dentist office was on the 12th floor of The Medical Arts Bldg. in downtown Fort Worth.
Doc bought a chrome plated 45 cal.
automatic pistol from Kirkwood. Once on one of his binges he found out his wife was
screwing the Boswell Milk Man when he was out raising hell for days on end. Doc was
looking out his office window one day a saw a Boswell Milk truck on the street. He went
and got his 45 and filled the side of the panel truck full of bullet holes. Police were
all over the building looking for the shooter but never found out who it was. Doc just put
the "CLOSED" sign on his office door, locked it and took a three day nap.
